EPFO Form 13 is used to transfer your Provident Fund balance from a previous employer to your current employer when you change jobs. It helps maintain a single consolidated PF account under your Universal Account Number (UAN), ensuring continuity of contributions and service history.
This form plays a key role in avoiding multiple PF accounts and simplifies future withdrawals, pension tracking, and claim processing.
EPF Form 13 for PF Account Transfer Form Between Employers
This form is required when you move from one EPF-covered organization to another. It ensures that your previous balance, along with service details, is transferred correctly instead of remaining inactive in multiple accounts.
Note: Only one transfer request is allowed per Member ID at a time.
For new joiners, this works alongside EPF Form 11, which captures your PF membership details at the time of joining.
Information included in Form 13
The form captures your previous PF account number, current employer details, and EPFO office or trust managing the account. It also includes pension-related information where applicable and authorisation from the employer to process the transfer.
Important: Pension funds are transferred only under applicable conditions. EDLI benefits are not transferred and are handled separately based on eligibility.
